The outgoing U.S. President Barack Obama has praised the people of America by saying that they made him ‘a better president’ and ‘a better man’.
In a thank you letter addressed to the people of America recently, Obama said that before leaving a note for the 45th president, he wanted to say a final thank you to the American people for letting him have the honour of serving them as their 44th president. ‘Because all that I have learned in my time in office, I have learned from you. You made me a better President, and you made me a better man’, Obama said in the thank you letter to the American people.
On his last day in office before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, Obama described the American people as 'the source of goodness and resilience, from which he has pulled strength’.
Urging the people to dedicate themselves to the blissful work of citizenship irrespective of party affiliations, Obama promised that he will stay with them at every step of the way.
